The Umbrella is a virtually maintenance-free modular tensile structure with a square foot-print, that can be used for many applications in schools such as shaded play areas, entrance canopies, walkways, etc. It comes in 4m x 4m, 5m x 5m, 6m x 6m & 9m x 9m modules, which may be linked in many different configurations. Umbrella structures are designed to British and European safety standards, and their fabric offers 100% UV protection with great light transmission to the space below.
The elements are: the steel, the column (leg), ring beam gutter system and the canopy.
- Fabric: Heavy duty polyester membrane with 15 years plus design life, BS fire rated with weather proof PVC coating on both sides.
- Fabric surface coating: PVDF polymer resistant to atmospheric pollution.
- Metal framework: galvanised or painted steel with 20 years plus design life. Child friendly soft mast protection available
